Across the UK, students are gearing up to join our Student Rally for Palestine on Monday, part of our week of events for student activists, featuring key campus organisers and co-founder of the BDS Movement Omar Barghouti.

Since PSCs groundbreaking victory in the Supreme Court, which overturned government guidance restricting the ability of pension funds to take ethical investment decisions, local authority pension holders have been demanding that their money isn’t invested in companies complicit in Israeli apartheid.

That’s why, in co-ordination with our trade union partners, we’ve launched an LGPS Divest campaign website.

Our groundbreaking research has uncovered that local authority pension funds invest over £3bn in companies deeply complicit in Israel’s grave human rights abuses. This includes companies featuring on the United Nations Human Rights Office’s list of business enterprises active in Israel’s illegal settlements based on stolen Palestinian land.

We can’t allow this to go on.
