Dear Friend

It never ceases to amaze us how some of our supporters are willing to do the most challenging and difficult feats to help raise funds for promoting human rights and democracy in Burma. They jump out of aeroplanes, run marathons, walk from dawn to dusk and cycle across Europe.

Our latest victim, sorry, amazing supporter, is Simon Warren, who is going to cycle 200km from London to the village of Dunwich on the Norfolk Coast. That sounds hard enough, but he’s doing it at night, from dusk to dawn through the countryside where there are no streetlights.

Will you sponsor his cycle ride and help stop human rights violations in Burma?

Simon is taking part in the Dunwich Dynamo, one of a thousand cyclists who for some reason don’t want to see the beautiful Suffolk countryside by daylight. It’s a gruelling and dangerous ride. Rather him than us!

Simon told us:
“In the last few years I have seen more and more coverage of the terrible atrocities being carried out by the military in Burma. It is beyond belief that this can be allowed to carry on and with our government taking little action to stop it or hold those accountable.  I know that Burma Campaign UK has had great success in its campaigns and I am raising funds on my ride so they can continue the great work. With your support Burma Campaign UK can really make a difference to people’s lives.”

We admire Simon for his commitment, and we hope you do as well.

Please do sponsor his ride here. Victims of human rights violations in Burma are asking for our help, we can only say yes if we have your support.

Thank you

Mark Farmaner
