PUT THE POLITICIANS ON THE MINIMUM WAGE AND WATCH HOW FAST THINGS CHANGE
Civilisation has operated in two ways - To make one part of society more affluent and the other more wretched than would have been the lot of either in a natural state
There are Natural Rights and Civil Rights. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness
Where Our Power to Execute Our Natural Rights is Perfect, Government has No Legitimate Jurisdiction

Saturday in My Garden – Marching On

Let me say first of all we shall not be ….

The Radical-
2nd March 2017

in our garden this Saturday,….

….because Rene and I  are travelling to London, to join the March for the NHS.

Our NHS is crucial to keeping body and soul together

that  enables us all to grow food.

So we took the opportunity to plant for March in the last week of February when the sun

shone, the wind was light and the soil temperature was rising.

All Early Potatoes are planted – Rocket and Pentland Javelin, Second earlies Kestrel

and main crop King Edwards. Yes I know they may sprout and need protection from the frost,

but I have the remedy.

Bubble Wrap and Builders Netting !

These can be stategically placed over the Raised beds and removed

when the sun shines or the rain falls.

Not only, but also, One whole bed has been broadcast with Kelvedon Wonder peas and

covered with netting to protect them from the birds.

Another raised bed is full of growing broad beans and a third with growing

Early Onward peas.

The Greenhouse is full of flower seeds and tomato plants.

We had some interest in selling aconites, snowdrops and crocuses from soil and when we

are home are offering Daffodils mixed in pots and Winston Churchill too

as the come into bud. 3 pots for £1 seems fair when they will last so much longer than

the cut flowers sold in shops. And the bulb can be saved and

planted out to multiply for another year.

We have Tete a Tete  and dwarf Dutch Irises in flower.

In fact the whole Garden is about to burst into Daffodil flower and then Spring is sprung

Or at least the worst of winter over ?

So we are having a short break after the Saturday duty to protect the NHS.

We are having a three night break near our beloved Dales.

We know it will all be according to the weather, but let mother earth do her stuff while we

are away and protect our baby plants both below and above her.
