He also has a holding of £50,000 in Premium Bonds, and this winning Bond was purchased in June 2017.
The man has today become the third Premium Bonds millionaire from North Yorkshire.
Amid the exciting news, NS&I has issued savers with a reminder about a change that is coming up.
From Spring 2021, NS&I is going to begin phasing out the use of Premium Bonds prize warrants – or cheques.
Rather than receiving these prize warrants, customers can instead have any prizes they win paid directly into their bank account.
Alternatively, prizes can be automatically reinvested into more Premium Bonds – up to the maximum limit of £50,000 per person.
