
A middle aged batchelor, living on his own in a Yorkshire village,
was a shrewd character with a keen sense of humour
but naturally very set in his ways.
He was asked if he had ever considered getting married and enjoying the comforts of the connubial state .
He pondered for a short while and then replied
“Well I have thought about it from time to time,but have always decided against it on the grounds that any women who would be daft enough to marry me would be too daft for me to marry “
