BUY A “TOPPER” AND CUT THOSE
RASHES/ RUSHES and THISTLES

Where the land permits
Cutting the annually not only weakens them, but the sheep and cattle
eat them after they have wilted.
This improves pasture and creates more feed per acre.
It looks better and to be honest any land covered in these plants
may need some degree of drainage improvement.
For tenants they should pester their landlords and owners should know better.
I recognise some land is too stoney or undulating or steep to improve
but if it had a wall around it and it is not being managed it will go back to the hill
Finally I keep telling the townies that its farmers who made the countryside
so keep making it and do not let go
