PUT THE POLITICIANS ON THE MINIMUM WAGE AND WATCH HOW FAST THINGS CHANGE
Civilisation has operated in two ways - To make one part of society more affluent and the other more wretched than would have been the lot of either in a natural state
There are Natural Rights and Civil Rights. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness
Where Our Power to Execute Our Natural Rights is Perfect, Government has No Legitimate Jurisdiction
When the Forces for War are Greater than the Forces for Peace   Then the World is in Danger
Politics is not a Dirty Word. It is a Way of Life. How is Your Way of Life Today ?

One Small Filling, One Huge Bill

Charging at the NHS Dentist…

The Radical-
20th Dec.2016

…..has got out of hand,

when I discovered I had to pay £53.90 to have one small filling

replaced that had fallen out but rescued.

Here is another opportunity for Jeremy Corbyn to make capital out of the Tories.

Another service not free at the time of use.

I can understand those with low incomes missing out on a vital health service.

When asked by the Dentist -the last time I had visited a dentist,

I replied “before the last war”

She hestitated before checking my age.

The Iraq War I told her, 2003.

“That is at least 13 years ago”.

Yes I told her,

and I showed her the only one tooth that had fallen out since then.

So before settling the bill I asked the Receptionist if the

procedure now came with a  3 year warranty.

The fee was more than the £50 I paid for my first car,

a Ford Special 103E chassis with a Lloyd of Grimsby aluminium body

Secondhand in 1962 if I remember correctly !

That was the charabanc type – bucket seats at the front

and a higher bench seat over the back axle

Great for pulling scarf flowing girls with the very mobile gear lever

A 10 shilling note lasted all week then and John Smiths Mild

was 9p a Pint, and the Dentist was free then.

How time has changed for the worst !
