I am writing to you at this special time of year from Bethlehem where Palestinians are preparing for yet another Christmas under military occupation
Over the last week I’ve visited Jerusalem and been travelling across the West Bank as part of a MAP delegation along with Baroness Sayeeda Warsi. Sayeeda, like so many of us, was appalled by the war on Gaza earlier this year. The facts and figures never do justice to the human price paid by those most vulnerable in this long standing conflict.
It is heart breaking seeing those who’ve lost their families and homes and still cannot hope of a better future. I have nothing but the deepest pride and respect for the MAP surgical teams who are returning every month to help injured Palestinians rebuild their lives.
From mobile health clinics in the Jordan valley to lifesaving operations for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon; MAP’s work is saving lives and bringing hope– and this can only happen because of your generosity and unfailing support. Thank you. You really are doing something amazing.
I send you my very best wishes for Christmas and share with you the hope that 2015 brings a better year for Palestinians living under occupation or as refugees,
Baroness Morris, MAP President
