J.PARKER -AFTER 5 YEARS – STILL POOR VALUE FOR SERVICE

Order Order ? Out of Order !

I have stopped buying from J.Parker’s.

I have cancelled my account and insisted I am taken off the mailing list.

Oh yes, I had an account with J.Parker’s and they had all my details -you know- including inside leg measurement.

 

I must have spent ?£200 in 2015 with the firm. I can’t confirm the exact amount  because the last “dashboard” entry is 5 months out of date.

 

I placed the order, by phone, on this occasion, Winter Bedding  plants, on 15th October 2015 and paid £70.98

 

“15/10/2015 – PURCHASE – DOMESTIC MANCHESTER J PARKER DUTCH BULBS £70.98”

 

I received no Vat Receipt or Invoice or Confirmation of the order.

 

25 days later on 8th Nov. I contact J.Parker’s by their Online “Contact Us” form but was told that it had not been seen when I phoned the following day.

 

This was to find what was going on with my order.

 

However, and by an amazing coincidence, when I phoned them the following day, the 9th Nov, I received news the order had been cancelled, a letter was on its way and the payment was being returned.

 

So the winter bedding plants will not be sent because they just cancelled the order 25 days after accepting full payment for it.

 

Clearly the whole matter is unsatisfactory from many points of view.

 

Not least the fact that the products I ordered will not be coming and now it is too late to re-order elsewhere at a competitive price.

 

Plants ordered, grow into money but J.Parker’s cannot be relied upon to deliver, but can be relied upon to take your order and money and fail to acknowledge it if made by telephone.

 

Online or by telephone or by post even, an order is an order and should be treated alike.

 

Treating customers with contempt is likely to bring a response – this is it.

 

And I am still awaiting the return of my money.
