PUT THE POLITICIANS ON THE MINIMUM WAGE AND WATCH HOW FAST THINGS CHANGE
Civilisation has operated in two ways - To make one part of society more affluent and the other more wretched than would have been the lot of either in a natural state
There are Natural Rights and Civil Rights. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness
Where Our Power to Execute Our Natural Rights is Perfect, Government has No Legitimate Jurisdiction

How your paper’s online presence is changing.

MS
 Just seen the Monday article

The Radical
22nd August 2018

Let us see more evidence that the paper is reaching more than the online edition

or which has the greater opportunity to reach more ?

The Online Star is narrow and often boringly repetitive

The number of quick links is pathetic and the search engine crashed.

Banging the drum for the Trade Unions, Labour Party and other Socialist

idealists should bring in all the necessary revenue,

because none of them have a printed copy

or an online website to match the Star.

Frankly I blame the blinkered Star management team not the editor.

Getting the online edition started, was like blood out of a stone,

and it has developed into a rag for pulling teeth.

The last thing  really believed is that the Star is run by its readers.

Because firstly I don’t know who the readers are as they are never revealed.

Secondly the Star is a Socialist media of the left

but to me its protecting its small corner, when it

should be offering space at a price and be more inclusive.

That way it is entitled to ask the contributors for publicity and financial support.

See what Rightsandwrongs.co.uk has that the Star does not have

and I refer to its set up not its content.

I don’t need to spell it out because Ben Chacko and others check the site,

which I have been doing alone for ten years without a break.

Lastest articles have a category name,

so readers can quick link those they want to see

Its not pushed down their throats.

The Search engine is quick, simple and massive.

This website has two linked website for (Damning) Editorials and History

and I would include socialist education here, not in the News copy

The centre of the site has revolving pictures

and music for those who like to look and listen

rather than read but they still tell a story.

Punch lines in the centre of the page

can be personal as they like to Fascists Racists Capitalists

Pigs and those in a Poke.

There are those out there sitting comfortably that sits there and thinks

and others that just sits.

But local issues that the Tory press refuse could be championed better.

So could the stalwarts in the socialist movement,

who thanklessly slog away get recognition.

That is were the readers come in.

Give the real people want they want –

And expose the reactionaries that try to thwart them.

Name and address withheld if necessary

But most of all make the Online edition

one of the first webbers to watch in the morning

by making it a 24 news service 7 days a week.

How do you do that ?

Stop trying to be all things to all people.

It may involve cutting your cloth to begin with

Until you discover what the Online edition really is

And what it isn’t

It isn’t a mirror image of the Printed copy which is too narrow

Start with running debates –  Sunday Stories ?

Make people return

Fact not Fiction

Finally get a better webmaster and acknowledge free advice for once,

which is given because it is a shame to see such an opportunity wasted.
