Civilisation has operated in two ways - To make one part of society more affluent and the other more wretched than would have been the lot of either in a natural state
There are Natural Rights and Civil Rights. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness
Where Our Power to Execute Our Natural Rights is Perfect, Government has No Legitimate Jurisdiction
When the Forces for War are Greater than the Forces for Peace   Then the World is in Danger
Politics is not a Dirty Word. It is a Way of Life. How is Your Way of Life Today ?

A petition has been received to remove a statue of Gandhi in Leicester.

It is argued that removing statues does not change history.

What is needed are plaques with information about the histories of the people they portray teaching about discrimination, colonialism etc.

“I am opposed to the destruction or defacement of Statues or monuments.

To suggest such an act is to distract a legitimate cause or protest and promotes one’s opponents to destroy or deface Statues or monuments of those we honour.

Today it will be Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Ulysses S Grant a Black tobacco farmer Anthony Johnson and William Ellison, a Black plantation owner in the United States of America and Edward Colston, Thomas Fane, and James Cook in Britain.

Who Next ?

Will we see Right Wing extremists pulling down Statutes of Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King and Paul Robeson in the US and William Wilberforce, Mary Seacole and Thomas Clarkson; and it may not end there.

There are still right wing fanatics who would would destroy the Statues of Irish Hero’s James Connolly, Patrick Pearse and Constance Markievicz.

Don’t give the right wing the political oxygen they seek.

Build on the massive support all over the world and help bring about not just a world in which Black Lives Matter but a world in which All Lives Matter irrespective of Colour,Race, Creed or Ethnicity.”
